(Headquarters: Naha City, Okinawa Prefecture, President: Manabu Ganaha), will be holding "Friday Classic Night" from April 2026 as a special project to commemorate the 35th anniversary of Palette Kumoji, with the full cooperation of the Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra, a leading local Okinawan orchestra. ■Following the success of "Friday Jazz Night," the Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra joins the fray. As a new initiative, RYUBO FOOD HALL has been holding "FRIDAY JAZZ NIGHT" every other Friday since January 2026, offering a time to enjoy a variety of dishes from 7 restaurants, along with craft beer and wine, with live jazz music playing in the background in a sophisticated space. Since its inception, it has been so well-received that it has been sold out every time, and has been supported by many customers as "a new way to enjoy nightlife in Naha." This time, the Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra, which operates with the desire to "create and nurture a full-fledged professional orchestra in Okinawa," has endorsed this initiative. We look forward to seeing the smiles of everyone who comes to visit us. ■ About the Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra ~Music for Smile~ The "Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra Founding Concert" was held in March 2001. In addition to regular concerts and music appreciation events at elementary, junior high, and high schools, they actively hold concerts for infants from 0 years old, collaborate with Ryukyu performing arts, and perform on remote islands in Okinawa Prefecture. In 2016, Naoto Otomo became the music director. In 2017, they performed the orchestral music for the Okinawa performance of Puccini's opera "Tosca," a nationwide co-production, and received great acclaim. In June 2022, they held special performances in Tokyo and Osaka to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Okinawa's return to Japan. They strive to be a symphony orchestra that values interaction with the audience, is loved and familiar to the people of Okinawa, and represents the internationally diverse Okinawa Prefecture. They released their first album, "Ryukyu Symphony Orchestra," in 2005 and their second album, "Okinawa Symphony Calendar," in 2020.
